Capt. Bill's Waterfront Restaurant

Since 1938

We are retiring! After owning and operating Capt. Bill’s Waterfront Restaurant for 33 years, we have decided it is time to sell the restaurant. We want to spend time with each other, our children, and our four grandchildren! The restaurant is up for sale. We will not be opening this year but will honor all of our caterings that we already have booked. We wanted to be fair to our employees and give them the opportunity to find a job elsewhere before the season gets started. We did not want to hire a crew and then the restaurant sell during the season and our employees be without a job. Our mission has always been to look after our employees, our customers and to serve our community! What a joy it has been to serve you over the years. YOU are the reason that Capt. Bill’s has celebrated 77 years of service to the public! We have so enjoyed sharing birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, weddings, engagements, and new babies with you! We have laughed with you and cried with you as you traveled life’s journey! We have been so appreciative that when you were going out to eat that you chose Capt. Bill’s as your dining choice! To all of the many wonderful employees who have worked with us over the years, it has been an honor to work alongside of you! There have been many wonderful memories made throughout the years! Our children have grown up in the restaurant along with their friends. Our grandchildren have started doing the same! It has been a wonderful  33 years and now we are so excited to see what God has in store for the next chapter in our lives! Wishing each of you much joy and happiness in your future!

Sincerely, Diane and John Poag
